We would like to give a ‘Shout Out’ thanks to Frank Quinn, the Associate Director of Revitalization at Heritage Ohio for the recent article that he wrote about Hallauer House Bed & Breakfast in the Fall issue of their magazine, “Windows.”
He and a friend spent a night in the Union Room where they delved into the history of the house and the Civil War and where they awaited a visit from Amelia, the spirit of a past resident that our children all have said frequently visited that room. But, and I quote Frank’s article,
” Alas, the overnight stay brought no visit from Amelia. I had one of
most peaceful sleeps, I’ve had in a long time….”!
On that particlular morning Joe made his famous Eggs Benedict and we served our signature Hallauer House Muffins and a lucious fresh fruit cup.
Heritage Ohio is a non-rofit organization dedicated to historical preservation of homes, communities, buildings, and downtowns. It is the Mainstreet program that many of you may be familiar with. Read all about them at this link: http://www.heritageohio.org/about/. Unfortunately they do not have the magazine article posted on-line so when you come to stay with us be sure and read the article. We will have it framed on the wall! We are very proud!
Thanks again for the article Frank! Hope to see you again soon!
