Chekhov’s ‘The Seagull’

Next weekend, Dec. 10 to Dec. 12, the Oberlin College’s Theater Program will perform Anton Chekhov’s “The Seagull,” directed by associate professor Paul Moser. It is a production that combines comedy and tragedy and the high stakes consequences of love. The four main characters: the ingenue Nina, the fading actress Irina Arkadina, her son the playwright and the writer Trigorin come together to dramatise their romantic and artistic conflicts. A complete synopsis of the play can be found at the following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Seagull or you can check out the Oberlin College production at: http://new.oberlin.edu/theater-dance.

Tickets can be obtained by calling the Central Ticket Service at 440-775-8169 or by visiting the box office at Hall Auditorium from noon to 5 P.M. Performance times are on Dec. 10, 11, and 12 at 8:00 P.M. in Hall Auditorium located at 67 N. Main St. Tickets are $12.00 for the general public, $8.00 for seniors age 55 and older and free to high school students.
