Vermilion Valley Winery

Recently we relaxed and sipped wine at Vermilion Valley Winery and after tasting a few samples I decided my favorite is by far the Cabernet Franc a medium bodied dry red with hints of blueberries, raspberries, and cherries. So we ordered a bottle and sat back to listen to the classical guitar music.

At Vermilion Valley Vineyard all the grapes are grown on the property from 14 different grape varietals. From reds that vary from dry to semi sweet to sweet whites made from fresh fruit to whites from dry to semi sweet you have 17 choices. You also must now choose to sit inside on the main level, upstairs in the loft, or outside on the patio.

They also have a pavilion that is used for wedding receptions. That’s right why not have a Romantic Vineyard Wedding? Or a reunion, a meeting, or a party. A country property just 8 miles from Hallauer House B & B where winery guests can then spend the night!

The food menu consists of just finger snack foods which you can order and eat as you sip your wine.

Vermilion Valley Vineyard is located at 11005 Gore Orphanage Rd. Wakeman, Ohio and their hours are 3:00 – 9:00 on Wed. and Thurs., 3:00 – 11:00 on Friday, and 1:00 – 8:00 on Sunday. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday and the hours will change for the winter months.
