Where to Stay
Now that you have decided to make the trip to Cleveland for the 2019 All-Star Baseballl Game you will need great accommodations during your visit. At first glance you may think that your best bet is to find a hotel in downtown Cleveland. You would be close to the action. But do check the cost of parking at the downtown hotels. Some charge up to $20.00 per day to park and then there is always the valet tip.
So here is our suggestion. Stay with us here in Oberlin. We are just a 40 minute drive into downtown Cleveland. You can drive in yourself and park at one of the many garages, take an Uber or Lyft in and back, or take the RTA. And remember, as I wrote in a previous BLOG post, we are centrally located between Cleveland, Cedar Point, the Erie Island’s boarding ferry, and Amish Country. During your Staycation you can explore the area, take in the game, enjoy the baseball park, hop out to the Islands, go to a play right there in downtown just a short distance from the ballpark. There will also be a theater production here in Oberlin over the July 5 – 9 dates.
Even if you come for baseball remember there is a lot to see and do in the area. Come early. Stay a week. Explore the area. A day at Cedar Point, a day at the Play Ball Park, a day at the Lake Erie Islands, a day at the big game, plus a day that is just all that is local. And at Hallauer House B & B you have it all:
- a bed room
- the pool,
- the hot tub,
- the rec/fitness room,
- the gardens,
- the Spa.
So maybe you will need time to just spend a day totally relaxing. You can do it all right here at Hallauer House in Oberlin, Ohio.
